Ian Smith is a founding member of Trail West and co-founder of Tiree Whisky Company. A graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, he was a finalist in the Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2014 and, with Trail West, won Scottish Dance Band of the Year in 2013 and 2016, and a nomination as Live Act of the Year in 2022.
