Becoming a member of the Saltire Society is a great way to support Scotland’s culture.

Since 1936 we have been committed to every part of Scottish life, from social housing and literature to public art and emerging creatives. The Saltire Society acts as a catalyst to make things happen in Scotland. We want to champion the best new ideas and help bring them to fruition. We host events and awards, such as Scotland’s National Book Awards, and offer support through our bursaries.

By becoming a member, you’ll be helping to support Scotland’s unique creativity.

As a Saltire member, you will receive:

  • Access to your local Saltire branch, allowing you to participate in local events and initiatives
  • Special discounts on Saltire products and event tickets
  • Information about all our special events, including the Annual General Meeting, conferences and awards
  • The right to vote or stand for positions in Saltire Society elections
  • The right to nominate people for the Fletcher of Saltoun awards
