Saltire Book Cover of the Year 2019

 

Saltire Society Scottish Book Cover of the Year 2019 (£500) 

Criteria of Eligibility

  • Books must have been first published between 1 September 2018 and 31 August 2019.
  • Books must be designed in Scotland, be designed by a Scottish designer (born or living in Scotland) or be designed by an in-house designer at a Scottish publisher.
  • Hardback, paperback and eBook covers are eligible.
  • Full colour and monochrome book jackets are eligible.
  • Two copies of the submitted titles must be sent to the Saltire Society (address below).


Self-published works are not eligible.

Deadline - noon on 8 November 2019


 Judges are looking for a design that demonstrates:

  •  Creativity
  •  Visual impact
  •  Excellent design
  •  An understanding of the book subject by the designer
  •  An understanding of the intended audience/genre by the designer
  •  Innovation in design



Deadline ALL completed entry forms and images must be sent by noon on 8 November 2019
