Donald Campbell was a celebrated Scots poet, playwright and theatre historian from Caithness and, later, Edinburgh. Campbell was a member of the Heretics from the 1970s and later became the Writer in Residence for Edinburgh schools and the Royal Literary Fund Fellow at Edinburgh Napier University. Campbell’s commitment to Scottish culture and literature remains along with his influence.
John Herdman was a founder member of the original Heretics poetry and music group of the 1970s. He is a former Creative Writing Fellow at Edinburgh University, William Soutar Fellow in Perth and Hawthornden Fellow, and has received several Scottish Arts Council Book Awards. He lived in Perthshire for many years but is now back in Edinburgh.
George Gunn is from Thurso in Caithness. In (2018) he published his 9th book of poems "After The Rain”. He has had over 50 plays produced for stage and radio, the latest will be “Call Me Mister Bullfinch (The Royal Lyceum Theatre, 2020). He writes for the magazine Bella Caledonia.
