Council
The role of the Saltire Society's Council is to agree on the overall strategy of the running of the Society and to approve reports and recommendations received from its Committees and Panels.

Members are elected to Council for a three-year term of office but may be elected for a further three years. No member may serve more than nine consecutive years on the Council. The above dates show when members were elected to their present position on Council and when they are either due to be re-elected or to stand down.
Council has the power to co-opt up to three additional members who shall serve until the next Annual General Meeting.
