The resonances of traditional ballad and saga forms are heard in this uniquely moving and imaginative play about the ill-fated Margaret, Maid of Norway. The story unfolds with a sea journey on the ship 'Boreas'. The elemental and timeless nature of the sea and storm is expressed in the strong rhythms of the language, performed by a group of well-known Scottish actors, and in the music of clarsach and bodhran specially composed for this production by Corrina Hewat
