Professor at the University of the West of Scotland.
(We are hoping to arrange an outing in May to Titan Clydebank.)
A number of Speakers have agreed to talk but their respective dates
have not yet been finalized. A letter will be sent to all Glasgow Branch Members
in September, confirming the final programme for the Session.
Meetings will be held in Cranberries, Candleriggs, Glasgow and will take the
form of Salons Philosophiques.
Evenings commence at 6.30 pm, for sitting down at 7.00, to a two-course supper.
This is followed by a 20 minute introduction on the topic by the guest speaker.
The audience is then invited to 'pitch in' and develop the speaker's ideas -
or even criticise them! The format comes from the Age of Enlightenment in the
18th century - so we may, or may not, provide some enlightenment. It will not be
too serious.
Further information may be obtained from the Convener to whom membership queries should
also be addressed.
Vice Convener
Professor Alexander Broadie
