Professor Gokay Deveci is a chartered architect and heads a housing and urban design unit at the School of Architecture and Built environment, Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen. He is a leader in the adoption of the low energy including the ‘Passivhaus’ standards, and one of its pioneers of ecological and environmental design. His main contribution has been in the field of innovative housing design, especially relating to low energy and low cost solutions that uses appropriate technology and building materials, as well as being culturally sustainable.
His projects have been ground breaking and has won a series of prestigious design awards. He has been a frequent speaker at professional conferences both at home and abroad. His innovative housing designs have featured widely in publications, and at major exhibitions.
