Edinburgh Branch Supports Young Musician

The Edinburgh Branch are funding a range of instruments for the City of Edinburgh Junior Music School, which is unique in admitting pupils from the age of five, so were delighted when Alicia Soares, first recipient of a three-quarters-sized cello, entertained them to a delightful short concert before their AGM on 20 May. Alicia performed Humoresque by Arnold Trowell, Veslemoy's Song by John Halvorsen, Dance Caprice by Christopher Bunting and Lament for the Death of his Second Wife by Neil Gow. Seen here with outgoing Branch Convenor Mary Fleming are pianist Stuart Montgomery, Susan Emslie who is Assistant Director of the City of Edinburgh Music School, Alicia Soares and her proud father.
